eSIM Activation
When does my data plan start?
Your WaoSim data plan starts as soon as the eSIM is activated and connects to the destination network on your device.
✔ If you install the eSIM but don’t activate it, your plan won’t start.
✔ You can activate your plan whenever you’re ready to use it.
✔ The plan will only begin when your device connects to a supported network in your selected country.
📌 Check your plan details in the WaoSim app to view your activation status and expiration date.
I receive an "Invalid QR Code" error during activation. What should I do?
If you encounter an "Invalid QR Code" error, try the following:
✅ Check QR Code Quality – Ensure the QR code is clear, undamaged, and not blurry.
✅ Rescan the QR Code – Try scanning it from a different angle or under better lighting.
✅ Use Manual Activation – If scanning fails, enter the activation code manually in your device’s settings.
✅ Request a New QR Code – If the issue persists, contact WaoSim support to request a new QR code.

How long does the activation process take?
The activation process usually takes a few seconds to a few minutes after setup:
✔ Direct installation – Typically activates instantly or within a few minutes.
✔ QR code or manual activation – May take a few seconds to a few minutes.
✔ Rare cases – Activation may take up to 15 minutes, depending on network conditions.

What should I do if my eSIM doesn’t activate?
If your eSIM does not activate, follow these troubleshooting steps:
➡ Restart your device – A simple reboot can often resolve activation issues.
➡ Check your internet connection – Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data during activation.
➡ Confirm device compatibility – Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked.
➡ Retry activation – Attempt to install the eSIM again using the QR code or manual method.
➡ Contact WaoSim Support – If activation still fails, reach out to customer support for assistance.

Can I schedule my eSIM activation for a later date?
🚫 No, eSIM activation happens as soon as you install and connect to the network.
